I always look forward to Khoi's posts over on Subtraction. I was lucky enough to get along to his workshop on grid design at the Future of Web Apps in London back in February 2007 and I'm still poring over his Grids are Good presentation . Khoi has recently turned his fine perceptive, design-focused attention to a new subject; the shift from narrative to behaviour, or more specifically how the role of the web designer differs form the print designer. In his presentation on Control he sets out to capture the essential differences between the two disciplines. Everyone is aware that there is something powerful and unique about the online world but this is the first time that I've really seen it described in a way that is not only understandable but also really inspiring. In short this is an essential read for anyone designing for the web.
